We wouldn’t normally post a pic of a car that’s for sale, but this is no ordinary car. This is a ’58 Chevy that anyone who knows the area between about N. 9 and N. 12 Streets and Bedford and Wythe Avenues in Williamsburg has noticed at some point. Now, it’s up for sale for […]

Construction Site Du Jour: Karl Fischer Site Ready for Giglio Crowds
July 8th, 2008 · Comments Off on Construction Site Du Jour: Karl Fischer Site Ready for Giglio Crowds
This year’s edition of the Giglio Feast in Williamsburg will be more surrounded by construction than usual. In fact, it’s fair to say it will be nearly hemmed in by construction on the north and northwest in what we’ve called the Williamsburg Triangle of Death because of its wide open construction and demolition sites that […]

Greenpoint Can Be Crappy, but Will Be Less So in the Future
July 8th, 2008 · 1 Comment
[Photo courtesy of chicapoquita/flickr] Anyone who knows Greenpoint knows the site and, uh, smell of the Newtown Creek Waste Water Treatment Facility, which collects crap from far and wide. It has many distinctions, not the least of which is its long standing dysfunction and the epic and ongoing $2.3 billion upgrade that it is getting. […]

We are waiting for the website for the Brooklyn condo with our favorite name to go live. If the decorative elements in this window on Bond Street, and the Andy Warhol prints hanging from the walls are any indication, Satori will be with us any time now. Satori, for those following the development of Bond […]
