Brooklyn Nibbles: Return of Kellogg’s Diner in Chrome

July 7th, 2008 · 2 Comments

Those who thought that Kellogg’s Diner at Union and Metropolitan Avenues in Williamsburg was going away were very, very wrong. This is the New Look Kellogg now that the scaffold and construction from a big renovation that started after the diner shut down in April have come down. The New Kellogg is a silver chrome and blue wonder, although it appears to be several weeks from reopening.

Given my previous crankery this morning, I feel honor bound to thank you for several Williamsburg posts in a row that do not include the word ‘hipster.’

But because I haven’t completely gotten the crank out of my system, I can’t help but express a hope that the Kellogg Diner renovations extend to the kitchen and menu. Having an all-night diner here with decent (diner) food would be a wonderful thing.
