So sad, that same old story: people with mental illness dumped on the streets or into shelters. “Homeless” is the least of it. Interesting that only the street guys, with their talk of “mental meds” and “crazy,” were honest enough to pinpoint the real issue. As a person with a family history of mental illness, I continue to be appalled at what passes for “community treatment.” Would we countenance the same for those diagnosed with cancer?
