Bklink: Flood Watch

July 24th, 2008 · No Comments

link-asterisk.jpgOutside the Brooklyn Weather Observatory it is very, very wet. The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch: “Heavy rain and flash flooding likely through late today…a cold front very slowly approaching from the west will continue to trigger very heavy rainfall through the day…and into the evening hours. A moist tropical air mass is providing the ingredients to produce the torrential rainfall and flash flooding.” Several more inches of rain could fall today. The actual forecast calls for heavy rain and some thunderstorms through early afternoon with a high of 79. Tonight will be partly cloudy with a low of 67. Be careful out there, Gowanus.–Accuweather
